This Chinese Miraculously survived a screwdriver stab from a friend he owes $150 after an argument for failing to pay back. Zhang Tan is said to have called his friend Kang Su to his Wuhan home according to Central European News--- Zhang Tan, 34, called 33-year-old Kang Su to his home in Wuhan to explain why he couldn’t scrape together the $150 he owed Kang.
Su became enraged and plunged a screwdriver in Tan’s neck, according to CEN. Zhang managed to pull through and compelled his estranged friend to help him
But Tan was miraculously able to hold it together long enough to convince Su to get him help.
“Where I found the strength or sense to even speak I don’t know, but I knew that I had to keep calm,” He narrated. “Su then began to panic and I told him to calm down and phone an ambulance.”
“When he said he couldn’t help because he’d be in trouble, I told him he couldn’t let me die otherwise he would be executed,”
Tan managed to get in touch with Zhang's sister who then rushed him to the nearby hospital
“We were in reception and not one of the doctors who came to see him would do anything because they said they were afraid they might botch the operation,”
“We had to wait for about half an hour before someone agreed to help him, and all the time he was sitting there with a screwdriver sticking out of his neck,”Zhang’s sister, Shuang Sung, 26 told CEN.
Dr Liu Guohui said the man was lucky to survive since the screwdriver’s shaft was embedded between two vertebrae, and just over 1/10 of an inch from an artery, according to CEN. Tan was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
