Police in Kenya tear-gassed primary school pupils during a protest against a developer who grabbed their playground.

Police in Kenya today tear-gassed Langata primary school pupils during a protest against a land developer whom they were accusing of grabbing their paying ground. The developer is said to be planning to convert the school play ground into a private property. School authorities wrote letter to the government about the issue to no avail, so the children decided to help their teachers and hell broke loose on them.
Five pupils were taken to hospital for injuries. The school is said to be the rightful owners of the land since 1972.
