ICC aquits Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The International Criminal Court on Wednesday acquitted the Kenyan president Mr Uhuru Kenyatta of the charge which were pressed against him since 2012 for lack of Evidence.Mr Kenyatta can probably be compensated if things continue moving in his favor. Mr Kenyatta was being accused of commiting crimes against humanity together with the Deputy president Mr William Ruto and journalist Joshua Arap Sang during the 2007-2008 after elections massacre.
The ICC through prosecutor Ms Fatou Bensouda announced that they were dropping the charges against the accused president, she said,
In light of the Trial Chamber’s 3 December 2014 “Decision on Prosecution’s application for a further adjournment”, the Prosecution withdraws the charges against Mr Kenyatta,"
The ICC however highlighted that it will still come back with new charges against Kenyatta after gathering more evidence which is lacking right now. Here is Prosecutor Bensouda said,"This withdrawal is without prejudice to the possibility of bringing new charges against Mr Kenyatta at a later date, based on the same or similar factual circumstances, should [the Prosecution] obtain sufficient evidence to support such a course of action”. Crimes like murder, rape and persecution are were were committed against the civilian during the uprising which Mr Kenyatta is being accused of sponsoring.
