The Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexuals{Legabino} has won a landmark legal case in Botswana's high court yesterday the 14th of November 2014 under Judge Terrence Rannowane. The judge revealed that is unconstitutional to deny them rights to form support groups and added that, it is not a crime to be homosexual or being attracted to a person of the same sex.
Homosexuality is illegal and punishable in Botswana where one can get a jail term of up to seven years if caught committing the forbidable offense. Is this an indication that Botswana is about to accept and legalize homosexuality? Right now South Africa is the only African country which had legalized homosexuality and recognize gay rights.
Let's wait and see the direction Botswana is taking towards this issue!!!!!
Just passing by zebra crossing.
