Zambia- Acting President Mr Guy Scott fired by the Patriotic Front.

Lusaka-The acting President Mr Guy Scott has been fired by the Patriotic Front as the party leader, being accused of following his own Agenda. Mr Scott once fired the minister of defence Mr Edgar Lungu for no apparent reasons and only re-hire him after a day following protest in Lusaka against his decision. According to the Patriotic Front Spokes Person Mr Malozo Sichone Mr Scott has been following his heart ignoring party procedures. Here is what he said,
"Since the president's death, it has become clear that Dr Scott has been following his own agenda,he has been hiring and firing people for no apparent reason and without consulting the [party's] central committee," Mr Scott is not eligible to contest for the Presidency since his parents were not born in Zambia as stipulated by the Zambian constitution. Mulenga Sata, Mayor of the city of Lusaka and his stepmother Ms Christine Kaseba are also eying the post. Though being Unpopular with the Acting President, Mr Edgar Lungu has better chances of snatching the candidacy since he once acted as the President when Sata was in the UK seeking treatment. Mr Scott will remain to be the national President and a member of the Patriotic Front till January 20 2015.
