Zimbabwe--Junior doctors received a boost for their strike as their Seniors has joined them!!!

Picture-Herald
Zimbabwean Junior Doctors have been on strikes for the past two weeks demand a salary increment from the minimum of 282 up to1200 American dollars per month excluding allowances. The Senior doctors have since joined them starting yesterday the 7th of November saying that the strike has taken too long, hence they are being overwhelmed by work. They are the ones who have been attending to critical situations with the help of senior nurses from the day the Junior embarked on strike.
According to Dr Fortune Nyamande who is the Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Associations President,"We can not continue to cover up for a health system that has failed. We are very disappointed that nothing is coming out of the negotiations between the Government and Junior doctors." The casualty and the outpatients departments are not attended to at hospitals like Parirenyatwa and Harare Central. A lot of wards are empty because patience are being turned away. The situation is dire. I hope the situation will be addressed sooner than later.
Just passing by zebra crossing.
