These are the pictures of the Mount Saint Marys mission school form four students who drowned in Nyanhamba dam in Hwedza when trying to swim in the deep end of the dam on Saturday the 15 of November.Tafadza Chinogara from Chitungwiza and Ngoni Shawariwa from Rusape together with a group of other boys from their school, absconded from school after a get together party organized at their school was abruptly cancelled by the authorities. The boys decided to go and swim at a nearby dam where the fate struck. Tafadzwa and Ngoni decided to jump in first, unfortunately, they jumped into the deepest spot of the dam and never emerge. The other boys who had gone with them then run back to school and kept the secret until Sunday the 16 of November 2014 when the news broke out when a certain woman who was doing laundry at the dam discovered the bodies floating. She notified the school authorities and the case was reported to the police.
The bodies of the two boys were retrieved by the
Police's Sub Aqua Unit.Tafadzwa was buried at warren hills cemetery on Wednesday whilst Ngoni was buried in his rural areas in Rusape on Monday. The boys were writing their "O"level final examinations. Anyway a have a question, why the school authority could not find out for nearly two days whist the boys went missing? How sad. RIP boys.
