Burkina Faso-An agreement was reached yesterday Sunday the 9th in Ouagadougou between the Civil society, the Opposition leaders and the religious leader for the military to hand over power to the civilians after several days of talks. A transitional Parliament made up of 90 members is supposed to be put in place paving the way for fresh election to choose a permanent president in 2015 according to the agreed plan by the groups. Members of the parliament will be composed of 40 from the opposition,30 from the civil society,10 from the military and the remaining 10 will be distributed between among other miner groups including Campaore's Loyalties.
Zida declared himself the leader on November the 1st following the resignation from power by President Blaise Campaore after an uprising opposing his intention to amend the constitution seeking another five year term in office in the upcoming 2015 Presidential elections.Pressure is mounted on Burkina Faso from the International world for her to hand over power to the civilians or facing the risk of being put under sanctions. The ECOWAS{West Africa Union} is standing on the gap for Burkina Faso preventing the International world from imposing sanctions on it. On the other hand, the African Union which is made up of 54 members has given Zida {Burkina Faso} two weeks of putting things in order by handing over the power to the civilians or get the sanctions song sang into their ears. If the plan by the groups comes to effect, the 25 members that will be composing it will not be eligible to run for the 2015 election.
Mr Roch Marc Christian Kobore who is the head of the opposition party, The People's Progress Party said, "It's a text that seems to unite everyone. Now the sticking point is the choice of the man who will preside over the transition"-Reuters. Mr Kabore was referring the plan reach by the groups.  Campaore is now residing in Ivory Coast after fleeing from the nation that he ruled for over 27 years.
Zida is said  to have promised to hand over power to the civilians.
