The ZANUPF Politiburo meeting which was scheduled for today has been re-scheduled for tomorrow Friday 24 October 2014.It was supposed to be held on Wednesday, but it was postponed for Thursday to pave the way for the Cabinet meeting. It is postponed once again because the President has other commitments today at the Harare Institute of technology according to Cde George Charamba the Secretary to the President's office.
According to sources like The Herald, the meeting is supposed to discuss on many issues, mainly corruption, subdivision within the party and also the abuse of office leveled against VP Joice Mujuru, which was said by Dr Grace Mugabe during her thank you rally in Marondera last week. It is said that they want to tell each other the truth and settle all the issues once and for all. They are said to also going to discuss on the issue of proposed alignment of the party's constitution, on how the two vice presidents assume their posts.
The amendment of the clause 32 of the party's constitution which deals with the members of the Central Committee members and the election of second Secretaries and the National Chairman together with Cde Rugare Gumbo's alleged tendency of misrepresenting the politiburo position are also going to be talked about.
